The Most Wanted
The Most Wanted is a novel written by author Judy Palfy. The book tells the story of a custody battle for a young girl following the sudden death of her parents.

When the young couple are killed in a car crash, leaving their daughter, Olivia an orphan, the couple's respective families both believe they are the right people to raise the girl, and consequently file for custody.
This book is essentially about the events surrounding the ensuing legal process which will decide Olivia's future.
The story is about how families cope with the burdens of love and loss. In this book Judy tackles ambitious and important questions about identity and relationship but her insights are obscured by all the words.
Only few writers have captured contemporary relationships as succintly and honestly as Judy. She brings a veriety of family issues into play here: adoption and single parenting ,marriage and divorce, physical and emotional maturation. She points out the challenges of daily life with children - the stranger anxiety, the colds, the sleepless nights, while also showing us the unmitigated joy of being part of a child's world.
As we experience along with the families the wrenching twists and turns of a convoluted legal system ,she shows us how loss, anger, fear and mistrust pull us apart-and how courage, love and honesty bring us together.
We vote for the Orange Prize in 2010.
